January 1, 2026 The New York Times reported recently that Most of Iran Shuts Down as Government Grapples With Protests and Economy. The article notes that:

Jul 9, 2025 Iran has been in the news lately after US and Israel bombings. However, the problems for Iran are really historically driven and go back to the immediate aftermath of WWII. I have state-space models of the Iranian economy from 1950 to the present and use the models to help understand Iran's historical development 

HINT: the Iranian economy is an historically driven economy not a Neoclassical Economy.
